When the Vancouver Canucks take to the ice at Rogers Arena tomorrow night, they could be without captain Quinn Hughes as they host the Detroit Red Wings.

It's been an emotional 24 hours for the Vancouver Canucks organization after trading J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers and now, they may be without their captain.

Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin gives an update on Quinn Hughes

For fans who tuned into last night's game against the Dallas Stars, it was easy to tell that Quinn Hughes wasn't 100-percent healthy and even left the team's bench for a short period of time.
In his first shift back from the dressing room, Sportsnet's cameras caught Quinn Hughes wincing while attempting to backcheck and at the end of the game, you could see the discomfort in his face while on the bench.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin met with reporters on Saturday afternoon to discuss yesterday's trades with the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins, and he gave an update on Quinn Hughes' status.
Allvin told the media that Quinn Hughes is still being evaluated after he didn't practice with the team in Dallas on Saturday before they flew back to Vancouver and that the blueliner is likely going to be a game-time decision tomorrow.
"Allvin said Quinn Hughes didn't practice this morning, is still being evaluated and is likely a game time decision for tomorrow" Harman Dayal of The Athletic said.

If Quinn Hughes is unable to play tomorrow and is out for an extended period of time, that'll be a massive blow to the Vancouver Canucks given what he's done for the team this season, keeping them in the playoff race in the Western Conference.
The Canucks' General Manager also said that the team's new additions - Filip Chytil, Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor will arrive in Vancouver tonight and will all be a coach's decision tomorrow, while forward Kiefer Sherwood will be a game-time decision.
Sherwood hasn't played since last Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers when he left that game with an undisclosed injury and didn't accompany the Canucks on their three-game road trip to St. Louis, Nashville and Dallas.
"Patrik Allvin says the new additions are expected to get in tonight and will be coach's decisions tomorrow. Says he expects Kiefer Sherwood to be a game time decision." Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet said in a post on X.
We'll likely find out more news about the Canucks' lineup, along with who will be between the pipes, at some point tomorrow afternoon, with puck drop set for 5 pm PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
