Golden Knights make last minute addition ahead of game in Vancouver
The Canucks will be hosting the Stanley Cup defending Champions, the Golden Knights, on Monday. Both teams have been dealing with an egregious amount of injuries, but the Golden Knights will be adding upfront.
The Golden Knights pulled a massive blockbuster deal moments before the deadline struck, and it's now about to pay off moments before the Knights hop on the ice in Vancouver. The Knights' Head Coach Bruce Cassidy announced that he expected the star forward Tomas Hertl to make his debut with the team:
Besides Hertl's impending return, Bruce Cassidy says Logan Thompson's injury at practice today was not serious. And Adin Hill will travel to Vancouver but isn't expected to be in the lineup. Hertl has been on the sideline for quite some time now with an injury. In 48 games this season with the NHL's worst team, the San Jose Sharks, he collected an impressive 15 goals and 34 points. It'll be intriguing to see how he adjusts to his new team and can contribute to their success.
The Canucks on their end will be looking for a way to bounce back, they've had difficulties playing the shutdown game they played so well in the season's early stages.
