The Canucks are looking to shed cap space and acquire a natural centerman to add behind J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson. Allvin set the record straight and stated that anything short of the playoffs would be considered a failure, a move of this sort surely brings them closer to that goal.

While this proposal may have actually come out of a fantasy league, the idea of it is still very much intriguing. Washington Capitals' superstar centerman, Evgeny Kuznetsov openly stated he wanted out of Washington and this one believes the Canucks should be calling the GM down there with this offer.

TO VANCOUVER

Evgeny Kuznetsov (2 x $7.8M)

TO WASHINGTON

Anthony Beauvilier (1 x $4.15M remaining)
Conor Garland (3 x $4.95M remaining)

Kuznetsov, the one who carried the Caps to a Stanley Cup a few years back, asked out of Washington. The now 31-year-old centerman still has two years on his deal carrying a $7.8M AAV. The Russian had a down year this season managing only 55 points in 81 games, in 2021-2022, he collected an impressive 78 in 79. Perhaps a change of scenery would do him some good.

Canucks on their end, move Garland, who's probably the next name to be moved out of Vancouver. Beauvilier showed great things since he was acquired in the Bo Horvat trade, he collected a career-high 40 points this season, but he could very well be the one who suffers from the Canucks' need to move out money.

Allvin would end up shedding $1.3M, adding a superstar and former cup winner to his core. While this scenario is highly unlikely, would you like to see Allvin bringing a high-profile superstar like Kuznetsov to Vancouver?
