WATCH: Cozens gets a cheap shot to the head and needs help going back to the bench
The NHL player safety department has made a lots of efforts lately to ensure a better protection on the players. Tonigh, an event in the Jets VS. Sabres game may require their work.
Dylan Cozens was the victim in this one, as he was coming up the ice, dodged a hit coming from Nate Schmidt. The initial is not at stake here since Cozens was able to dodge it, but as Schmidt turned back, he hit the young Sabre straight in the chin.
The referees did not call Schmidt straight away, but they reviewed the play and handed Schmidt a 2 minutes penalty.
Cozens clearly had issues going back to the bench since he needed help from three of his teammates. Cozens' game ended at this moment.
