Since returning from a jaw injury in the middle of February, Vancouver native Connor Bedard has been on a tear, putting up 18 points in 13 games, eight of those points have come in his previous two games.

With his strong play over Chicago's last two games against the Anaheim Ducks and Arizona Coyotes respectively, Bedard has put himself into some pretty elite company and was highlighted by the National Hockey League in a post on X following Tuesday's contest.

In their post, the National Hockey League shared that Connor Bedard is only the fifth 18-year-old in history, and first since Steve Yzerman in 1983-84, to have consecutive games with three or more points.

Bedard is also only the second teenager in National Hockey League history to record eight points over a two-game span, joining the late Dale Hawerchuk, who accomplished the feat in March of 1982.

"Connor Bedard is the fifth 18-year-old in NHL history to record consecutive games with 3+ points and first since Steve Yzerman (2 GP in 1983-84)." The NHL said.

They added, "Connor Bedard (3-5--8 in 2 GP) joined an 18-year-old Dale Hawerchuk (4-4--8 in 2 GP; March 13-16, 1982) as just the second teenager in NHL history with eight points in a two-game span."

In 52 games this season for the Blackhawks, Bedard has put up 51 points (20 goals, 31 assists), 18 penalty minutes and is a minus-36. His 51 points has him in the lead among the Chicago Blackhawks and all rookies in the National Hockey League.
