Former Vancouver Canucks Forward Makes Drastic Decision on Future of his Career
Former Vancouver Canucks forward Adam Cracknell has made a big decision on the future of his professional hockey career.
Back in September, after spending parts of the previous four seasons in the American Hockey League, Adam Cracknell decided to return to Europe, where he
signed a one-year contract with HK Poprad in the Slovak Extraliga.

The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native has arguably been HK Poprad's best player during the 2024-25 season, registering 50 points (30 goals, 20 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a plus-six in 45 games so far.
While many were wondering if the veteran forward was going to hang up the skates at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign, that won't be happening.
Over the weekend, HK Poprad announced that they've agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension for the 2025-26 season with Adam Cracknell, who turns 40 on July 15th.

"I am happy to stay in Poprad for another season. I feel very good here in terms of playing and my family and I like life under the Tatras. My daughters are doing very well at school, they have found many good friends here. We also have great fans and a cabin. I am looking forward to the next season, but now I am focusing on this one, so that it turns out successfully." Cracknell said.
HK Poprad Sports Director Julius Koval was very happy that Cracknell decided to sign an extension with the club and that this is big news for their chances of competing for the Slovak Extraliga title next season.
"We are very happy that we were able to seal the cooperation for the next season. This is important news for the team and the community, Adam is a leader and we are happy that he remains a member of our team." Koval said.
Cracknell appeared in 44 games for the Vancouver Canucks during the 2015-16 season where he registered ten points (five goals, five assists), 14 penalty minutes and was a plus-one.
Towards the end of February 2016, then-Canucks General Manager Jim Benning placed Adam Cracknell on waivers and the next day, he was claimed by the Edmonton Oilers.
